Walter Posern was born in Graz (Austria) on November 13th 1944. He lived in Monza till 1972 and then moved to Vimercate (MI) where he still lives and has a studio in via Mazzini 71. He graduted from the Brera Art School and then attended a decoration course at the same academy. He worked in the ceramics sector till the end of the 70s as this was what his father did, and in the furniture sector. In the eighties he opened an industrial and interior design studio, collaborating with firms mainly operating in the lighting sector like Tronconi, Fabbian, Vistosi, Ivela, Ares, Luxo, Side, Faeber, Mandelli. In the nineties, he finally managed to do what he really loved and what his studies were for: “paint”. Nowadays, he has an ongoing collaboration with the firms Side Lighting Instruments, Outlook Design Italia and has added graphics to his industrial and environmental designer activities, managing the company image.
