Salone del Mobile 2025 Wrap-Up: Fabbian’s New Direction
The Salone del Mobile/Euroluce in Milan was an incredible event where Fabbian unveiled its new creative direction and collections. Under the artistic leadership of Alberto Biagetti, Fabbian showcased its premiere capsule collection, Drop-0.
Drop-0 marks the beginning of a new Era of Light at Fabbian, aiming to redefine the role of lighting in modern spaces. Biagetti collaborated with five internationally acclaimed designers—Robert Stadler, Kazuyo Sejima, Estudio Campana, 2050+, and Atelier Biagetti—tasking them with offering their unique interpretations of light as a central and transformative element that merges technological innovation with Fabbian’s rich tradition of glass craftsmanship.
Each designer presented distinctive takes on light and its relationship with space. Estudio Campana introduced Brotas, an integration of glass and natural branches inspired by childhood memories of climbing trees. Kazuyo Sejima showcased “Form of Reflection,” a sculptural exploration of transparency, reflection, and fluid forms. Robert Stadler presented Posillipo, a lighting system that redefines pendant fixtures through a rigorous architectural lens. 2050+ unveiled Intimate Strangers, a lamp made from ambiguous, unclassifiable elements—industrial fragments transformed into sources of light that are versatile enough to suit any environment, whether indoors or outdoors, from a bedside table to a rock. Finally, Atelier Biagetti introduced Santo, an alphabet of sorts, where material, light, and form combine to create endlessly varied compositions—some precise and defined, others more sculptural and expressive.
With Drop-0, Fabbian opens a new chapter in the language of light—one where innovation, craftsmanship, and visionary design converge to create pieces that integrate functionality and aesthetics. This collection goes beyond simply illuminating spaces; it reshapes our experience of light, crafting atmospheres that inspire emotion, interaction, and wonder. Stay tuned for more information on these collections and their availability in the North American market.
