Francesco Lucchese
Born in the province of Messina, he graduated in Architecture at the Milan Polytechnic College. In 1985, “traslazione”, his folding chair design, was awarded 1st prize at the competition for collective spaces organised by Adi and the industrial group Busnelli. Between 1989 and 1991 he was assistant lecturer of Industrial Design at the school of Fine Arts of Brera. He has designed collections of lamps for Candle, Fabbian, Foscarini, Italiana Luce, Luxo, Quatrifolio, Venini. In the field of furniture design for living room areas and bathrooms, he has worked for di Liddo & Perego, Inda, Rapsel, Swan.
The experience gained with murano glass had a deep effect on him and gave rise to a collection of vases for Nason & Moretti. With his work team he is today also involved in corporate identity as well as trademark and product communication projects.
