MOUNT SINAI QUEENS
A MAJOR RENOVATION AND EXPANSION OF A NEW YORK CITY’S INSTITUTION
For the renovation and expansion of one of the major locations in Queens, Mount Sinai decided to establish a new benchmark in the healthcare industry. The project renovation, with its $175 million and 140,000 square foot hospital modernization and addition, were designed with the goal of improving patient care in the New York City borough of Queens. NK Architects, in association with DBB Architects, was the firm in charge of its multi-million makeover and made available medical and surgical capabilities, previously only present in the other Manhattan locations.
The project included new operating rooms that allow surgeons to perform elective, emergency and complex procedures using the latest advances in medical technology and a new state-of-the-art Emergency Department, nearly five times the size of the former ED.
Fabbian participated in the Emergency Department expansion to give an upscale look to the renovation with its series of downlights Quadriled F18. The clean and regular shape of Quadriled combines the savoir-faire of Murano glass with the very latest polymer machining techniques and it has been designed for an easy installation, whether recessed or wall-ceiling mounted.
This incredible and exciting product delivers top energy-saving outstanding performances thanks to 36 LED lights with excellent luminous efficacy and power consumption of 15W only. Any colors of the diffusers do not change light features and performance.
Quadriled is available in the recessed version with polished aluminum structure and in the ceiling version with a grey-painted structure. The polycarbonate diffuser is available in four different colors: clear, with amber profiles, red or blue.
