CN Training Excellence Center

CN is a true backbone of the economy, transporting approximately C$250 billion worth of goods annually for a wide range of business sectors across a rail network spanning Canada and mid-America.

The location of the Training Center is strategic: the Chicago area is the largest freight hub in North America, and Homewood is home to CN’s U.S. headquarters. The 55,000-square-foot facility accommodates up to 250 CN students from across the United States each week, providing training for all key railway jobs.

A very generous public space in the building anchors two stories of specialized training rooms, along with administrative spaces, including a transportation lab, simulation rooms, and direct access to welding shops, live track, and a repair shop.

Garnett Architects, in collaboration with Fabbian, selected our flagship Crio D81 White pendant in 24″ and 48″ sizes for installation at various heights in the open-concept lobby and common area.

With its multifaceted aluminum structure, Crio D81 can fit into numerous commercial and residential spaces. All versions are available in White Dark Ebony Veneer, or Custom Paint and Wood Veneer options.
